The Uasin Gishu United Democratic Alliance (UDA) team is this Sunday, July 24, 2022, expected to host a mega rally on the outskirts of Eldoret town.
Posters seen by uasingishunews.co.ke, posted by various politicians on their social media pages, show that the rally will be held at Kipkorgot estate, a few kilometres from the Eldoret town centre.
Among those expected to grace the rally include Chama cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and Malindi’s Aish Jumwa.
Others also expected in the rally are Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa and Johanna Ng’eno of Emurua Dikir.

All UDA candidates for various seats in Uasin Gishu are also expected to attend the rally.
“All roads lead to the Municipal grounds in Kipkorgot area this Sunday afternoon for a mega meet the people rally ahead of the Deputy President’s visit to Kesses and Moiben areas tomorrow,” UDA Uasin Gishu gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja posted on his Facebook page.
“The Uasin Gishu leadership will be hosting several Kenya Kwanza leaders as depicted by the below portrait and I urge our people from across the County to join us for a progressive political engagement,” he added.

The rally comes just a day before the anticipated visit of UDA party leader and presidential candidate Deputy President William Ruto.
DP Ruto is scheduled to address a rally at Kesses Centre, in Kesses Constituency, before heading to Moiben, and later in Elgeyo Marakwet for a series of rallies.
DP Ruto’s last rallies in North Rift
Elgeyo Marakwet UDA gubernatorial candidate Wisely Rotich, in an interview with uasingishunews.co.ke said the second in command’s rally in the county will be earthshaking.

With barely two weeks before Kenyans go to the polls, DP Ruto’s Monday visit to Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet is likely to be his last in the region, given the fact that the region is considered his stronghold, and would not need much effort to secure the already guaranteed majority votes.
