The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital board has invited applications for individuals interested to fill the position of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Dr Wilson Aruasa has been holding the position for the last 8 years.
However, ahead of his term coming to an end in January 2024, he has proceeded to terminal leave.
“MTRH hereby advertises the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO),” read part of the notice by hospital’s board of management chairperson Sitoyo Lopokoit.
The hospital board noted that details of the requirements for the position can be accessed through their website.

It further warned that it does not charge fees at any stage of the recruitment.
“Any form of canvasing shall lead to automatic disqualification and only shortlisted candidates shall be contacted for the interviews,” the board chairperson said.
Dateline for application has been set for January 16, 2024 at 5.00 PM.
New MTRH CEO Dr Kirwa
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Dr Kirwa has been named the acting MTRH CEO.

These reports are however yet to be independently verified by Uasin Gishu News.
MTRH is a multispeciality national/international teaching and referral hospital.
It has a nucleus of 25 counties in western part of Kenya, also serving Eastern Uganda, South Sudan, Northern Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo among others.
The hospital has centres of excellence for specialized healthcare, training and research. It also participates in national health planing and advises Ministry of Health and devolved units on Health Policy.
