How Nandi County will partner with British High Commission

The discussions highlighted a strategic pilot program that will see the British High Commission partner with local academic institutions, namely Koitalel Samoei University and The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton.

This collaboration is designed to create a streamlined pathway for students within the region to successfully apply for postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom.

In addition to the academic partnerships, the meeting emphasized the importance of public awareness.

The County Government and the Commission are set to roll out community outreach and sensitization programmes. These initiatives aim to ensure that students, recent graduates, and the general public are fully informed about the application processes and the various opportunities available.

These programmes provide deserving students with opportunities to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom,” Governor Sang noted, adding that the community outreach would be key to ensuring no eligible candidate misses out due to a lack of information.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to educational advancement as a cornerstone of regional development. He reiterated the County Government’s resolve to collaborate with development partners to dismantle barriers to higher education.

As the County Government, we remain committed to working closely with our development partners to expand access to quality education and ensure more young people from Nandi benefit from these life-changing opportunities, ultimately contributing to the county’s socio-economic transformation,” he added.
