Natembeya Kick-Starts Trans Nzoia CIDP Drafting Process

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Monday, September 5, 2022, kick-started the process of drafting the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) as he lays down his five-year strategic plan for the county.

In his address to the officers from the 10 county departments, Natembeya emphasized his administration’s main goal of transforming the county into an upward development trajectory.

He stated that wealth and employment creation, poverty reduction and provision of a conducive environment for investment as areas of key focus.

Part of a team that will be drafting the CIDP.

The Department of Economic Planning has developed a Concept Note to guide the production of the third generation CIDP which forms the basis for county budgeting and spending as it outlines the development strategies that inform the development agenda of the county.

Further, the five-year development blueprint will be delivered through seven CIDP sector working groups that have been constituted and will be done in cooperation with the national government through the office of the County Commissioner.
