The Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) 2026 National Ball Games concluded at Nyandarua National Polytechnic with a clean disciplinary record.
According to organizers, they reported zero cases of indiscipline among students drawn from nine regions across the country.
The third-season national games brought together teams from Western, Coast, Lake, Nairobi, North Rift, Mount Kenya East, Mount Kenya West, South Rift and Northern regions to compete in various ball games.
Taita Taveta National Polytechnic emerged as the most active institution after featuring in seven matches, the highest participation recorded in this year’s edition.

KATTI officials speak on successful competition
KATTI National Chairperson Shadrack Tonui lauded the students for their discipline, commitment and sportsmanship, noting that the competitions were highly competitive.
“We have experienced very stiff competition. Indeed, our students have demonstrated their abilities and talents very well. They have shown great commitment and determination. However, this does not mean that those who have lost are failures. These competitions are meant to nurture our students’ talents and bring them together as TVETs,” Tonui said during the finals.
He also commended coaches and principals for supporting the trainees.

The games were organized by KATTI officials led by Tonui, National Treasurer Jared Ogot, National Secretary Dr Jane Gitau, and organizing committee members Idd Faraj and Evans Omondi Oyo.
Winning teams in different disciplines were awarded trophies for first, second and third positions.
The annual games provide a platform for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students to showcase talent, promote teamwork and foster unity among institutions.
