Popular Clubs in Eldoret Town

Eldoret is one of the fastest-growing towns in Kenya today. It is considered not only an academic and medical hub in the North Rift region but also a key transit town and business hub.

The town commonly referred to as the city of champions is also an entertainment hub.

It has an estimated over 30 entertainment joints which are located on the outskirts of Eldoret town.

An example of such a club is Tamasha. This is one of the biggest clubs in Eldoret and the newest. It’s is located near Langas estate, along the Eldoret-Kapsabet road.

A majority of ravers that prefer partying at Tamasha range between the ages of 20 to 40 and above.

The club hosts different celebrities and deejays regularly with the most preferred music being ninja songs, Bongo, Gengetone, and reggae.

Club Timba is another popular club in Eldoret. It is located along Eldoret-Nairobi road, a few minutes’ drive from Eldoret town. Unlike Tamasha, Club Timba has a larger space. It also hosts different celebrities.

TMT is also another popular club among the ravers in Eldoret. It is located along Eldoret-Kapsabet road, which has several other clubs.

Most of the clubs are along the Eldoret-Kapsabet road due to its proximity to the town center, which makes them easily accessible.

In Eldoret town center, there is a number of clubs also, one of them being Belasco Lounge, arguably the biggest club within the CBD.

Alcohol and food prices in these clubs are usually pocket friendly and make it easier for people to party while their stomachs are full.

In all aspects, Eldoret town is the de facto capital city of the North Rift region.

It has the highest concentration of institutions of higher learning – a factor that has helped it position as a key entertainment joint, as most ravers are the youth.

Based on the 2019 census, Eldoret has a population of over 475,000, putting it as the fifth most populated urban center in Kenya after Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, and Ruiru.
