Rivatex East Africa Limited has been recognized as a formidable vertically integrated textile mill that continues to support Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) based institutions.
The textile industry has been offering job and training opportunities to students that possess technical-based skills.
The company was recognized and awarded on Friday, December 17, 2021, during the 10th graduation ceremony of the Rift Valley Technical Training Institute – RVTTI in Eldoret.
The recognition was made by the chief guest Principal Secretary, State Department of Vocational and Technical Training (RVTT), Ministry of Education Dr. Margaret Wawuda Mwakima to the Managing Director Professor Thomas Kipkurgat after she conferred the 2311 graduands with diplomas and certificates.
The graduands and the staff respectively donned gowns and kitenge tops produced and stitched by Rivatex.
Rivatex has in recent years undergone a facelift that has seen its operations modernized.
It is known for dressing President Uhuru Kenyatta in the popular African shirts, he usually wears on Fridays, and during a majority of national addresses, especially during this Covid-19 period.
