Ruto, Kenyan Politicians Congratulate Donald Trump

President William Ruto has led several political leaders in the country in congratulating Donald Trump who is projected to win the US Presidential election.

Most major media outlets in the United States have projected that Trump will cross the magical 270 electoral college needed to win the election.

With the win just a matter of formality to be made official, Ruto congratulated Trump who is now set to be the 47th US President.

Ruto noted that the former presidents win was “a testament to the firm resolve of the American people to place confidence in your visionary, bold, and innovative leadership.

As you embark on this phase of your leadership journey, Kenya stands ready to further enhance our cooperation on matters of mutual interest, including trade, investment, technology & innovation, peace and security, and sustainable development,” he added.

Kiharu Member Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also shared their congratulatory messages.

Ndindi Nyoro in his message asked Trump to make America great again.

Republican policies have always been better for Africa and the Global South. Going forward, the USA must responsibly exercise its power, considering the primacy of the dollar as the reserve currency,” he added.

What Gachagua said about Trump’s win

Gachagua on his part termed Trump’s victory as the greatest political comeback.

The Republican candidate served as the 45th US President before losing to outgoing President Joe Biden four years ago.

Trump beat Democrat’s Kamala Harris in several key swing states propelling him to historic victory.

He is also ahead in the popular vote.

Republicans and also set to control the Senate after winning a majority of the seats.
