Soy United Football Club has rescinded an earlier plan to play its league matches at Eldoret’s Kipchoge Keino Stadium.
The club playing in the Football Kenya Federation Division One League Zone B had earlier planned to move its home games to Eldoret in anticipation of a new sponsor.
But in a statement on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, it said they had resolved to play all the second leg games at Ivugwi Primary School Grounds.
In addition, it noted that they will continue engaging locals, the county and national government leadership on possibilities of acquiring a public utility for the development of a home match venue meeting the standards set for the National Super League and Premier League.

Currently, Soy United Football Club is second on the log with 29 points, four behind league leaders Gucha Stars.
The top team in the Division One League earns a direct promotion to the National Super League while the second-placed side also has a chance for promotion through a play-off.
And as they eye NSL promotion, the Soy-based club has also announced plans to bolster its squad 7 new signings ahead of the start of the second leg.
The club plans to sign a goalkeeper, two strikers, a midfielder, two offensive players and a utility defender.
New sponsor for Soy United FC
Meanwhile, the club said talks with a potential partner are at an advanced stage.
It expressed optimism that they are likely to sign a 3-year partnership.

Soy United FC will start their second league with a top-of-the-table clash against league leaders Gucha Stars.
“The #JazaIvugwi campaign will start off a week to our home match against Gucha Stars FC. This initiative is geared at increasing gate collection and merchandise sales,” the club announced.
In addition, it revealed that talks are ongoing with Beest Athletic, the club kit manufacturer, for mass production of the fans’ replica jerseys.
Soy United FC’s replica jerseys usually retail at KSh 1,500.
