Construction works for the governor’s official residence in Uasin Gishu County are now taking shape.
Works on the project have been ongoing for some time now in a move to curb the county government’s monthly rent expenditures.
Uasin Gishu Director of Housing Beatrice Menjo confirmed that the project will be completed by June this year.
The house is being constructed within Elgon View Estate on the outskirts of Eldoret City.
An artistic impression of the governor’s residence seen by Uasin Gishu News shows that it is both spacious and modest, with a focus also on durability to ensure it serves the county for many years to come.

The initiative is a strategic move to reduce long-term rental costs, allowing funds to be redirected into other essential development projects within the county.
The residence will also provide a permanent and secure home for the Governor, promoting efficiency in governance.
With construction progressing steadily, residents of Uasin Gishu are optimistic that the project will lead to financial savings as well as contribute positively to the county’s growth.
