Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has affirmed his administration’s commitment to setting up grounds necessary for the business community to be able to host thousands of delegates expected to visit the county during this year’s first-ever biannual devolution conference slated for 15th to 19th August 2023.

Speaking on Friday when he hosted Council of Governors (CoG) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mary Mwiti on a courtesy call, Bii challenged the business community to maximize the opportunity to be able to expand their business spectrum.

Hosting this year’s devolution conference will not only market our county but project our map globally,” said the county boss.

According to Mwiti, the conference will focus on 10 years of devolution, present and future successes, challenges, and gaps and reflect on what awaits them in the future.

She noted that the conference is an opportunity for the business community, local people, and the transport, and hospitality sector, among other sectors to spur the growth of their businesses.

As the business sector you need to prepare yourselves ahead of the international conference to accommodate the projection of over 10,000 visitors that we will be expecting during the one-week-long event,” Mwiti told the delegation of the business community.
