UDA Sets Date for Issuance of Final Nomination Certificates to Candidates

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced that it will be issuing final nomination certificates to candidates for various seats this week.

This follows completion of the party’s nominations and subsequent dispute resolutions.

A statement issued on Monday, April 25, 2022, by UDA Secretary General Veronicah Maina notes that the exercise will be done on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

All gubernatorial, Senate and Members of National Assembly including Women Representatives will be issued their certificates at Hustler Centre in Nairobi,” said part of the statement.

All Members of County Assembly candidates will receive their certificates at their respective regions.

MCAs candidates from Turkana, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu and Nandi will receive their certificates at the Eldoret Sports Club.

Those from Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, and Vihiga will get their certificates at Kakamega UDA offices while Nakuru, Nyandarua and Baringo will get theirs at Nakuru UDA offices.

Rays Hotel will play host to issuance of certificates to MCA aspirants Kisii, Nyamira, Bomet and Kericho.

Other MCA candidates will get certificates from Nairobi Hustler center, Meru UDA offices and Nyeri Cultural Hall while venue for candidates from Luo Nyanza candidates will be issued with their certificates in Kisumu, at a venue to be communicated later.

The certificates issued will be final, and are the ones that candidates will present to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) while presenting their nomination papers for verification and approval to participate in the August 9, 2022 general election.
