University of Eldoret ladies football team – UoE Queens moved to the top of the FKF Upper Rift Women’s Regional League after securing six points over the weekend.
The university ladies went into the weekend third on the log but are now top with 25 points thanks to wins against Ndabarnach Queens and Kapseret Queens.
They hit four goals against the two teams, despite playing away.
In another match, Langas-based Espodec-Muhoroni Starlets had a bad day in office, losing 3-1 to visitors Huruma Starlets.
The game was played at Hill School Grounds.
According to ESPODEC coach Maurice Kamau, luck was not on their side this weekend.
“We were totally out of luck as we controlled the game but we still lost. We hope to come back stronger in the next game,” Kamau said.
Espodec-Muhoroni Starlets drops to third on the table with 19 points but have played a game less than the top two.
In other matches, De’ Legebet Starlets hammered Kapseret Queens 5-0 while Ndabarnach Queens walloped Hannah Queens 4-0 and Boma Ladies 2-0.
Huruma Queens beat Terik Foundation, and Hannah Queens 2-0.
