West Pokot: Governor Kachapin Nominates 14 Chief Officers – FULL LIST

West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin has nominated 14 individuals to serve as Chief Officers for various departments.

Kachapin revealed the names of those nominated in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

He said the nomination had been made following recommendations from the County Public Service Board (CPSB).

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred to me by Section 6(2) of the Public Appointments Act as read together with Section 45 (1) (a) and (b) of the County Governments Act, I, Simon Kachapin Kitalei, Governor of West Pokot County, after recommendation of the County Public Service Board, hereby nominate the following persons to be County Chief Officers,” read part of the statement.

Of the 14 nominees, four are women while the rest are male.

List of West Pokot Chief Officers nominees

  1. PRISCILLA CHEBET MUNGO – Finance and Economic Planning.
  2. REUBEN LOTUMALE LOSHANYANG – Roads and Public Works.
  3. NELLY CHETUM SOPRIN – Health and Sanitation.
  4. JULIUS K. LOKITUMAN – Education and Early Childhood Development.
  5. KALOMARIA KALEKEN RAPHAEL – Vocational and Technical Training.
  6. NAOMI CHEROTICH LEMRENG – Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation and Fisheries.
  7. MUSA RUTO LOSIANGOLE – Trade, Co-operative, Industries and Energy.
  8. MATHEW LIMARIONO RIONOKOL – Lands, Housing and Physical Planning.
  9. LEONARD RUTO KAMSAIT – Water and Natural Resources.
  10. EDWIN PKEMOI LOKOMOL – Sports and Youth Affairs.
  11. PAUL PTIMAN LALAT – Culture, Tourism, Heritage and Social Services.
  12. DANIEL S. LOPALE – Public Service, Devolved Units and ICT.
  13. LILIAN KORINYANG – Special Programs, Humanitarian Coordination & Disaster Management.
  14. DAVID CHEPELION – Executive Office of the Governor.

Aside from the Chief Officers, Governor Kachapin also said he had appointed ANDREW KASILTICH to spearhead the implementation of the Bursary Scheme.

I have also forwarded the list of the nominees to the County Assembly for further necessary action,” noted the county boss.

Once vetted and approved by respective County Assembly Committees, the Chief Officers will be sworn in and start serving in their respective dockets.
