Buzeki Outlines His Agenda for Uasin Gishu Locals

/

Billionaire businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki has spelled out his development agenda for the Uasin Gishu locals.

Buzeki is seeking to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago once his second and last term comes to an end in 2022.

He has already made it clear that he will be going for the county’s top seat – for a second time, after failing to beat Mandago in 2017.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Buzeki named challenges facing farmers, the youth, and businesspersons as some of the things his government will seek to address.

“The challenges ahead of us are enormous. In UG our farmers are yet to get formidable solutions. Our youth requires gainful activities. Our traders are yearning for a conducive working environment,” the billionaire businessman said in part of the post.

Buzeki notes that for the economic growth of the county that would positively impact locals, there is a need for a leadership that will focus on identifying an area where a County Industrial Park can be set up, as well as looking for investors based on the county strengths.

We need to support our women to be part of wealth creation. We need to commercialize and exploit our God-given sporting prowess by building and equipping sports facilities. We need value addition initiatives,” he noted.

Buzeki has also pledged to set up at least 5 different industries in Uasin Gishu – “a milk processor between Ainabkoi and Kesses, a Business Processing Outsourcing Centre at Kapsaret, Industrial Park at Turbo, Maize Processor at Soy, Meat Processing and Skin Tannery at Moiben.”
