The second fire incident was reported in a hotel within Eldoret Town after a gas explosion.

Sitati said the incident happened during the change of gas cylinders in the hotel. He also explained that the gas explosion caused a stampede as people tried to escape from the basement where the hotel was located.

However, there were no injuries and the firefighting team managed to contain the fire on time and ensure that all people came out safely.
