More vulnerable and needy students in Elgeyo Marakwet are set to benefit from county Government’s financial support this year.
This is after the county announced an increase in allocation for the bursary kitty by almost double.
Last year, Ksh50 million was set aside to be used in financing education for the bright but needy students.
But according to Governor Wesley Rotich, the fund has been increased by Ksh45 million for this Financial Year.
“H.E Governor Wisley Rotich is pleased to announce that this Financial Year (FY), bursary allocation has been increased to Ksh 94 million up from Ksh 50 million last FY to cover more vulnerable students,” the county said in a statement on its social media pages.
“Those eligible should apply as per the information below,” it added.
