FORD Kenya Party has hit out at United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party Secretary General Cleophas Malala who has been calling for parties within Kenya Kwanza coalition to fold.
FORD Kenya and the Amani National Congress (ANC) are among the key members of the ruling coalition.
Addressing the press in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, FORD Kenya’s Secretary General John Chikati called on President William Ruto who is also UDA’s Party Leader to put his house in order.
“When you see a child abusing their neighbour, that child is not doing it alone but he/she must have been sent by an adult most probably his/her parents,” Chikati said.

The Ford Kenya SG who is also the Tongaren Constituency Member of Parliament said Malala has been sent with an objective of painting Western region as divided politically.
“We know our brother is being used to portray Western region as divided so that the sender can take advantage of that and divide us further. He can be rest assured that we cannot allow that,” he added.
Not leaving Kenya Kwanza
According to Chikati, FORD Kenya and ANC will stick in Kenya Kwanza Alliance but vowed to stop Malala from making reckless statements that are likely to weaken the strength of the ruling coalition.
“Nobody is leaving Kenya Kwanza Alliance and we shall stop him by all means. If Malala will not stop, we shall stop him either by force or dialogue because if you abuse Wetangula and Mudavadi what do you expect?” Chikati posed.
On his part, Ford Kenya Deputy Party Leader and Kwanza Constituency Member of Parliament Ferdinand Wanyonyi said Malala is trying to remain relevant in Kenyan politics.
“Even His Excellency the President has categorically stated that nobody will be forced to join UDA like the way our brother is doing. He is looking for relevance but he can do that in his house and not here in Western,” Wanyonyi said.
The Simba part officials further called on the UDA Secretary General to respect other political parties and never again talk about dissolution of Kenya Kwanza Alliance affiliate parties.
When he took over as the UDA Secretary General, Malala has been calling for merging of all parties under Kenya Kwanza coalition to form one strong political party.

In March this year, six Kenya Kwanza Alliance affiliate parties folded and joined UDA.
The parties are Umoja na Maendeleo Party, the Farmers Party, Chama cha Mashinani, National Agenda Party Economic Freedom Party and Chama cha Kazi.
