Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii will add another title to his name on Saturday – an author.
The county boss who recently graduated with a PhD will join a list of political leaders who have written a book.
An invite seen by Uasin Gishu News indicates that Bii will be launching the book in an event that will be held at Rupa’s Mall Grounds.
The book is ‘Achieving Sustainability of Women Development Projects in Kenya’ – by adopting effective resource mobilization strategies.
Aside from the book launch, the event will also serve as a celebration for the governor attaining a Doctoral Degree.
Governor Bii on December 19, 2023, graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Project Planning and Management.
His thesis, which he successfully defended in September 2023 is titled: ‘Resource Mobilization Strategies on Women Led- Agricultural Development Projects in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya’.
The book launch will cap a memorable month for the county boss serving his first term. It is this December, that he was also awarded the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.) by President William Ruto during the 60th Jamhuri Day celebrations.
The Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.) is the second highest honour awarded by the Kenyan government.
