Inside Buzeki’s Plan to Build a Modern Stage In Eldoret

Billionaire businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop alias Buzeki plans to decentralize all public transport terminus in Eldoret if given the opportunity to be the next governor of Uasin Gishu.

Buzeki further says he will partner with the private sector to construct modern multi-storied parking slots within the main stage.

This, he says, will help address congestion that is currently being witnessed due to rising numbers of Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) and passengers.

The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant further says prudent management of the Eldoret main stage can enable it to support other services.

“Eldoret Main stage is continuously becoming congested. The number of vehicles accessing the facility are on increase which is good for our economy. We only need to prudently manage the space to accommodate more and support other additional services,” Buzeki notes, in a post on his official Facebook page.

“Given an opportunity, we will decentralize the public transport terminus. We will also engage in public private partnerships to put up multistoreyed parking slots within the main stage,” he adds.

Under the modern stadium project, Buzeki will be seeking to have a first and second-floor host the main stage, with other floors being used as parking spaces.

Parking spaces is one of the challenges urban centers face, and if this project can be successfully implemented, it will go a long way to addressing it.

“The first and second floor could remain as public stage whereas third fourth and fifth floor could be designed as parking spaces. The other spaces above the fifth floor could be utilized as offices and malls,” notes Buzeki.

This is one of the projects that will help propel Eldoret to the city status that it has been pushing for.

Buzeki is already assured to be among the aspirants to be on the ballot in the August 9, 2022 poll. This is after he announced that he will be vying for the seat as an independent candidate.
