Kesses MP Candidate Involved in Accident

Kesses Member of Parliament candidate under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party CPA Julius Ruto was on Saturday, June 18, 2022, involved in a car accident.

CPA Ruto, an immediate former Uasin Gishu County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Finance and Economic Planning says he was involved in the accident along Kabore-Moi University road.

He was with his crew during the accident.

In a post on his official Facebook page, the MP candidate however said they only sustained minor injuries.

CPA Ruto who is seeking to unseat incumbent legislator Dr Swarrup Mishra says they are all recovering well.

I got involved yesterday with my crew in car accident along the Kabore / Moi University route. We escape with minor injuries and we are recuperating well,” said the UDA candidate.

He thanked locals and friends that have sent their get well soon messages.

Thank you for your messages of goodwill and endless calls you’ve been making to check on us. Glory be to God,” the former Finance CECM said.

CPA Julius Ruto when he was cleared by IEBC to vie for Kesses MP seat on a UDA ticket on May 30, 2022.

The Kesses MP race has attracted four candidates four candidates, with the battle said to be between CPA Ruto and Dr. Mishra.

Dr. Mishra, elected in 2017 on a Jubilee ticket is seeking a second term as an independent candidate while CPA Ruto is a UDA candidate.

Others in the race are Alex Kemboi and Stephen Teigut – both of who are independent candidates
