KMTC Announces Full Scholarships for Community Health Nursing Course in Partnership with Beyond Zero

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has opened applications for full scholarships to study for a Certificate in Community Health Nursing for the 2026/2027 academic year, in partnership with the Beyond Zero Initiative.

The scholarships will cover the full duration of the 2-year course, which is set to commence in September 2026.

According to the announcement signed by KMTC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kelly Oluoch, the programme targets qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid (ASAL) counties, underserved minorities, and other vulnerable and marginalized groups willing to serve in their communities after graduation.

Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements of a KCSE mean grade of C- or equivalent, with at least a C in English or Kiswahili, a C in Biology, and a D+ in either Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

As part of the application, candidates are required to submit a handwritten essay of no more than 200 words explaining why they deserve the scholarship and the contribution they intend to make to their community upon graduation.

Applications should be submitted online through the KMTC admissions portal at http://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke, then printed, signed, stamped, and sent to the Director/Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Medical Training College, P.O. Box 30195 – 00100 Nairobi.

The deadline for submission is 13th June 2026.

KMTC stated that successful applicants will receive full scholarships covering the entire course. The institution is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
