Eldoret Catholic Diocese Bishop Dominic Kimemgich has announced the appointment of 12 new priests and 14 assistant priests.
A letter signed off by Bishop’s Executive Secretary Rev. Fr Francis Kamau Wainaina confirmed the new appointments.
“I hereby write to inform you that His Lordship Rt. Rev Dominic Kimengich, has made the following new appointment of priests,” read part of the letter dated November 6, 2023.
The letter is addressed to all priests, religious and the Laity, Catholic Diocese of Eldoret.
Among the parishes that have received a new priests include St Patricks Parish, Burnt Forest that will be served by Rev. Fr Linus Musumba and St Theresa Parish, Naiberi that Rev. Fr Eliud Jomo has been posted to.
St Josephs Parish Barasendu, St John Paul II Parish Chepterwai and St Georges Chaplaincy Sinendent are others where the new priests have been posted.

In addition, 14 new priests have been appointed and posted t various parishes across the Eldoret catholic Diocese.
Some of the parishes that will get new assistant priests are St Charles Lwanga in Soy, St Patrick’s Kapcherop, St Peter’s Kuinet as well as Good Shepherd Parish, Mosop.

While announcing the new appointments, Rev. Fr. Wanaina asked Catholic faithful to pray for the new priests “that God Lord may accompany them in their apostolates.”
