Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, led other UDA candidates in drumming up support for the Kenya kwanza Alliance in Kesses Constituency.
Governor Mandago accompanied by other leaders addressed various rallies at Annex, Saroyot, Kaptumo and Kerita.
Speaking during the rallies, the Governor who is the UDA candidate for the Senate seat, asked locals to support all UDA candidates in the County, from MCA, Member Parliament, Senator, Woman Represenative, Governor and President.

“Please vote for a suit. If we want Deputy President William Ruto to be President, for his government to work well, we need to have enough MPs who will ensure we have people holdings key positions in parliament to push the bottom-up agenda, and this is why we need CPA Julius Ruto to be the MP of Kesses,” Mandago told locals at Saroyot.
The county boss said electing an independent candidate would deny the UDA party an opportunity to install a Speaker of the National Assembly allied to a DP Ruto government.
The race for Kesses MP seat has been billed as a battle between incumbent Dr Swarup Mishra, seeking re-election as an independent candidate and CPA Ruto, the UDA flag bearer.

Mandago also told Uasin Gishu locals not to be intimidated and threatened by politicians out to propagate lies for selfish gains.
The UDA Senate seat candidate further insisted that Uasin Gishu is a peaceful county and that anyone claiming that there is a plot to cause violence is out to instil fear among the electorate.
There have been claims the governor was training militia, a matter still under investigation, even as Mandago claims the reports were being peddled by politicians out to cause fear in voters and whip their emotions.
“Ile fununu mlikua mnasikia eti wanasema eti Mandago ana-train militia, hiyo ni ungo, hao ni watu wameshindwa kutafta kura, wanaanza maneno ya vitina ndio wapewe kura eti watu wako na uoga,” he said, while in Burnt Forest.

Mandago and Kenya Kwanza team also visited Kaptinga, Cherus, Tumoge, Chesunet and Cheboiywo where he also asked locals to record anyone making inciting statements so that legal actions are taken against them.
