Moi University will be holding its 45th graduation ceremony late in December 2023, the institution has announced.
A notice posted on the university’s website indicates that the graduation will be held on December 21, 2023.
“Moi University wishes to inform all candidates who qualify for the conferment of various degrees and award of diplomas at the end of the last academic year 2022/2023, that the 45th graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday 21st December 2023,” read part of the notice signed by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof I. N, Kimengich.
The institution has since asked the graduands to clear by November 17th.
Among the areas to be cleared include confirmation of academic results with respective Deans of Schools and their full names as well as order and spelling as guided by the certificate of admission.
“Names in the certificate will be printed in the order as they appear in the graduation list/booklet,” said Moi University management, in the notice.
The graduands have also been asked to clear pending fees and any other charges by November 17, 2023.
Moi University, whose main campus is in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County, is one of the oldest public institutions in the country. It was established in 1984. In its first year of existence, there was only one department – the Department of Forestry. The enrollment that year was 83.
Further, the university’s School of Medicine was established in 1996 and was the second school of medicine established in the country.
Moi University’s first VC was Professor D. Odhiambo, who served from 1984 to 1988. The current Vice Chancellor of Moi University is Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey
