Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim on Monday inaugurated the new Moiben Sub-County Office.
The event marked a significant milestone in the Sub-County’s progress, highlighting the commitment to enhance access to key government services at the grassroots.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Governor Bii expressed his unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of Moiben.
He also emphasized the immense potential of the sub-county, describing it as ‘a big name in the making‘.

The county boss also shared his vision of transforming Moiben into a bustling city, attracting investments, creating jobs, and providing a better future for its residents.
He further called upon locals to start businesses and contribute to the development of the sub-county.
“By fostering entrepreneurship, I aim to establish a vibrant local economy that will fuel progress and enhance the quality of life for everyone in Moiben,” said Bii.
County, national government collaboration
Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Dr. Eddyson Nyale who attended the event on his part emphasized the importance of collaboration between the national government and the county government.
“This partnership aims to leverage resources, expertise, and infrastructure for maximum output,” said Nyale.
He further assured the residents of the government’s commitment to addressing their needs promptly and efficiently.

Deputy Governor, Eng. John Barorot known for his dedication to technological advancement, announced plans to provide high-speed internet connectivity to the newly inaugurated Moiben Sub County office.
Later in the day, the Governor assessed an ongoing water project in Mosop, Moiben sub-county.
“This project is a vital part of our plan to ensure sustainable water supply for our citizens,” he noted.
The project is scheduled for completion in two weeks, and upon its commissioning, it will serve the members of Mosop Hospital, Mosop primary school, the cattle dip, and cater to domestic needs.
Governor Bii wrapped up his visit to Moiben by officially launching the murraming of the Kalyet-Toloita-Garage road.

He affirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the roads are not only murramed and graded but also made motorable.
“This improvement promotes road stability, and durability, and fosters economic growth in our community,” the governor said.
