Plans to decongest Eldoret City to realize the smooth and seamless running of businesses and other daily operations are at advanced stage.
This follows Tuesday engagement at the County Commissioner’s office, where the county multi-agency committee attended to strategize better.
Speaking during the meeting, the County Commissioner, Dr. Eddyson Nyale said the main objective of the decongestion is to improve the security of the people to continue doing businesses.
“We’re a city, and we can not allow people to conduct their business in a disorganized manner. A city has its own ways of operating,” said Dr Nyale

The County Executive Committee for Trade and Cooperatives Martha Cheruto who was flanked by CECMs Edward Sawe (Lands) and Eng Joseph Lagat (Roads) emphasized the need for a guaranteed security for businesses in the city to thrive.
“Our governor’s ultimate goal is to accommodate as many investors as possible in our new city. And the component of assured security and the realization of a conducive business environment for all traders is key,’ said Cheruto.
