Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has announced a cabinet reshuffle with the aim of improving service delivery in the County.
Several changes have been made within the administration to ensure more effective governance.
Julie Kichwen, who previously held the position of Education County Executive Committee Member (CECM) has been reassigned to oversee the Public Service Management docket.
In exchange, Sam Ojwang, formerly the Trans Nzoia County Commissioner will now lead the Education docket.
Additionally, adjustments have been made to the Chief Officer positions.
Kennedy Etiang, formerly responsible for Public Service Management, has been transferred to the Trade department while Philip Kapten, who previously worked in the Lands department, will replace Etiang.
Jane Masika, previously Chief Officer I the Education Department, has been moved to the Gender department.
Further, Patrick Osoro, who served in the Agriculture sector, will assume the role of Chief Officer for Lands while Omari Ndiema, previously in Trade Department, will now oversee the agriculture portfolio.
Moreover, Dr. Rose Nasiebanda, who previously oversaw the Gender Department, has been appointed as the new Chief Officer for Education.
Announcing the changes, Governor Natembeya expressed confidence that they will significantly improve service delivery.
The new transfers are effective immediately.
