A four-year-old boy is admitted to a city hospital in serious condition, after being defiled by his mother’s boyfriend.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) says the sad incident was reported by the child’s teacher after noticing that the PP1 pupil was in severe pain.
This is after the child recounted to his teacher how his mother’s boyfriend – a bodaboda rider, would engage him in the unnatural act after beating him up whenever his mother was away.
Police officers based at the Parklands police station in Nairobi immediately arrested the child’s mother and her beastly boyfriend.
The police have identified the mother as a 30-year-old, and his boyfriend as Samuel Agesa, aged 32.
As the child continues receiving medical attention, the two, the woman and his boyfriend are being held in custody at Parklands police station.
This is even as detectives finalize their investigations and drafting of appropriate charges, to have them arraigned in court.
The man is expected to be charged with among others defilement.
According to the Sexual Offences Act, a person who commits an act that causes penetration with a child is guilty of an offense termed defilement.
A person who commits an offense of defilement with a child aged eleven years or less shall upon conviction be sentenced to imprisonment for life.
