UDA, ODM Ranked Most Popular Political Parties in Kenya

A latest opinion poll by Infotrak has ranked Kenya’s top five most popular political parties

According to the poll released on Sunday, December 28, 2025, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leads in popularity at 23 per cent closely followed by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

However, a majority of Kenyans interviewed in the poll said they do not feel close to any politics party.

UDA leads party popularity at 23%, with ODM close behind at 19%,” Infotrak poll shows.

At the same time, 32% of Kenyans say they feel close to no political party, pointing to growing caution, not disengagement,” it added.

Other political parties listed among the top five had below 10 percent in popularity.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) was ranked third with 6 percent popularity follows closed by the Jubilee party at 5% while Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper was fifth with a popularity of 4%.

Meanwhile, the poll revealed that Kenya’s political alliances are seeing a mixed bag of support.

How many Kenyans support broad-based government?

Broad-based government leads with 32% in popularity, followed by United Opposition at 22% and Kenya Moja at 17%.

Broad-based comprises of UDA and ODM while United Opposition is led by Gachagua, Kalonzo, Jubilee deputy party leader Dr Fred Matiang’i, Martha Karua, and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa.

Kenya Moja comprises of Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Ndindi Nyoro as well as Githunguri’s Gathoni Wamuchomba and Babu Owino of Embakasi East.

At the same time, 29% of Kenyans don’t align with any alliance.

No single alliance commands majority loyalty, highlighting a cautious and fluid political landscape,” Infotrak noted.
