Former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial candidate Veska Kangogo now has a job in the Kenya Kwanza government.
Kangogo unsuccessfully vied for the Uasin Gishu top county seat in the August 9, 2022, general election.
She lost during the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nomination that was won by the current Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim, alias Koti Moja.
But even after losing in the UDA nominations, she remained within the party and played a role in the presidential campaigns.

Her loyalty has finally been rewarded after she was elected among the Kenya Power directors.
The company held elections on Saturday, December 17, 2022, when Vesca Kangogo and seven other directors, a majority of who are allied to President William Ruto were elected.
All the directors that were seeking another term were defeated in the election.
A statement by Kenya Power indicates that the former Nairobi County Executive Committee Member (CECM) garnered 980,732,882 votes to be elected one of the directors.
Brenda Masinde who garnered 982,289,124 votes, Logan Hambrick(983,462,853), Albert Mugo(985,278,960) and Duncan Ojwang’ who scored 1,002,565,056 votes are other elected Kenya Power directors.
Also elected directors for the company that transmits, distributes and retails electricity in the country are National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njoroge Ndung’u (1,044,813,650) and Alex Wachira who garnered 1,044,859,288.

Vesca Kangogo had been among over 500 candidates that had been shortlisted for the Principal Secretary (PS) post.
She however failed to make the final list of 51 PSs that the Public Service Commission (PSC) forwarded to the President for the appointment.
