Abraham Kiptalam: Youthful Chief Officer Assumes Office

Abraham Kiptalam has officially assumed the office of Chief Officer at the Department of Roads, Transport, and Public Works in Uasin Gishu County.

Kiptalam takes over from Eng. Julius Ronoh who has been serving in an acting capacity.

The new youthful Chief Officer thanked Governor Jonathan Bii for the appointment and assured him that he will work hard towards serving with distinction and fostering the implementation of the Nguzo Kumi blueprint to achieve the development progress of the people of Uasin Gishu.

The handing-over ceremony was presided over by the County Executive Committee Member for the department Eng. Joseph Lagat who reiterated the importance of teamwork in ensuring better results as well as actualising the agenda of Governor Bii efficiently and effectively.

Let me congratulate and welcome you and assure you of my total support as we endeavour to discharge our mandate to implement programs and projects that promote and improve livelihoods,” CECM Eng. Lagat noted.

The CECM further said the department is implementing extra projects in preparation for the Devolution Conference that will be held in Uasin Gishu in August 2023.

He further asked the team to embrace teamwork and always endeavour to be ahead of other departments in effective service delivery.

The CECM together with the senior officers from the department praised the outgoing acting Chief Officer Eng. Julius Ronoh for his excellent service and big role in the improvement of over 800 Kilometers of roads during the short period he served.

Meanwhile, the inspection of different ongoing road projects continued in various wards across the county.

In Kapseret Sub-County, the team inspected the ongoing gravelling works of Outspan roads in the Ngeria ward.
