The County Government of Nandi is strengthening its healthcare system by installing an oxygen generation plant at the Nandi Hills County Hospital.
Speaking during an inspection visit at the facility, the County Executive Committee Member for Health and Sanitation Ruth Koech said that the County government’s aim is to provide affordable healthcare to every citizen of Nandi.
She also noted that they are equipping county-run hospitals with modern critical equipment like oxygen plants to meet any future eventuality.

“The County Government of Nandi is taking every possible measure to strengthen the health care infrastructure in the county,” she added.
The plant will provide an adequate oxygen supply to meet the hospital’s demand, enabling it to provide high-quality healthcare services to the residents.
Further, the plant has been designed to cater to the high demand for medical-grade oxygen at the hospital.
With a capacity to generate and supply pure medical oxygen, the plant will provide oxygen supply to oxygenated beds, CCUs, and operation theatres.

The installation of the dedicated oxygen plant is set to provide a consistent and reliable supply of oxygen, which is crucial for saving the lives of critically ill patients at the hospital.
