The County Government of Uasin Gishu under the leadership of Governor Jonathan Bii is committed to ensuring that residents access quality and timely health care services with ease at all times.
Speaking during a working tour of Kesses Sub County Hospital, Chief Officer for Clinical Services, Dr Joyce Sang, highlighted that the facility receives a significant number of patients daily.
The high number of patients seeking services prompted the Department of Health Services to provide round-the-clock services to cater to the needs of the community, both during the day and at night.
“By reviving the 24-hour services, we aim to ensure that individuals seeking medical attention will be able to access the necessary care at any time because we are in a cosmopolitan environment where students from Moi University seek services at this facility,” said Dr Sang.
She also said that by offering services throughout the night, Kesses Sub-County Hospital will help distribute the patient load more evenly and reduce waiting times for individuals seeking treatment.
“Medical emergencies can occur at any time, and having a facility that is open round-the-clock ensures that individuals can receive immediate care when needed thus saving lives and contributing to better health outcomes for the community,” added Dr Sang.
Furthermore, the revival of 24-hour services at Kesses Sub-County Hospital will also enhance the overall efficiency of the facility and the extension of operating hours will allow for better coordination of patient care, ensuring that individuals receive timely and comprehensive treatment.
