President William Ruto is in the United States of America for the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Ruto arrived in the US on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, after attending the funeral service of the late Queen Elizabeth II on Monday.
Accompanied by his wife Rachael Ruto, the Head of State had also attended a reception at Buckingham Palace for Heads of State in honour of the late queen.
The reception was hosted by King Charles III.
While in the US, Ruto is expected to give his first address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday.

“Very privileged and honored to accompany HE President William Ruto to the official opening of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly in the New York City, USA. The President will be addressing the General Assembly tomorrow,” Murkomen tweeted.
A similar message was shared by the Kiharu MP.
On the other hand, Mutua had on Monday shared a photo of him arriving at Manhattan, a day Ruto was in London.
“Manhattan, New York. Back in the Big Apple for the United Nations General Assembly. Time to tell the Kenya Kwanza story of hope and action to the world. Mbele iko Sawa,” he posted on his verified Twitter handle.
First Lady Rachael Ruto and the presidents legal adisvisor are also among the delegation.
The President s expected back in the country this Thursday.
