Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has reported back to his Kitale Town Hall office.
Natembeya returns to his office at the County Headquarters following the elapse of the 60 days he was barred by the courts from accessing it.
The court issued the orders while releasing the governor after he was charged on graft-related charges.
As he reported back to his office, Natembeya was received by section of County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) led by Truphosa Amere, the County Secretary.

Speaking to the press, Natembeya said his stay in the town hall office will last for a very short period of time as the new County Headquarters will be opened soon.
The former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner further said that he is more energized and ready to deliver his Ukombozi manifesto.
“I’m more energized than ever. My 60 days absence from this office did not slow us down we kept working from our Sub-Counties offices,” Natembeya said.
Why Natembeya is back to his Kitale office
In addition, the administrator-turned-politician authoritatively stated that his resolve to report back to his office is to disapprove some people especially politicians who have been alleging that the court had extended an injunction against him to beyond the initial 60 days.
“Actually, I didn’t want to come back here but in my bid to send a message to the propagandists, I chose to come here before we fully relocate to our new offices,” Natembeya added.

He further revealed that some schemes to bar him from operating from the Sub-County offices were hatched by his opponents and insisted that his corruption caseis politically motivated.
“Of course the matter is still alive in court, but in the spirit of transparency and accountability, I keep on challenging those honchos and EACC to really come out and tell the world like they have always done when they raid people’s homes and offices,” he said.
