Natembeya Nominates 11 Chief Officers – FULL LIST

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has nominated 11 men and women who will serve in various departments as Chief Officers.

Names of the nominees were made public by the county boss in posts on his official Social Media pages on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Pursuant to Section 45(1)(a) as read together with Section 5(f) of the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012 and in accordance with Article 235(1)(a) and (b) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, 1. George Natembeya, Governor Trans Nzoia County, hereby nominate the following persons to the positions of Chief Officers for various departments respectively,” Natembeya said while sharing the Chief Officer nominees.

It contains three women and one person living with a disability – who is also a woman.

List of Trans Nzoia County Chief Officer nominees

  • Kennedy Etyang Seme – Public Service Management
  • Sammy Simuyu Sichangi – Office of the Governor
  • Dorothy Nyukuru – Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change
  • Phillip Kapten – Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development
  • George Wamondo Mwangi – Public Works, Transport and Energy
  • Dr Wanjala Emmanuel – Health and Sanitation
  • Jane Masika Wachwenge (Person with Disability) – Education and Technical training
  • CPA Ashton Mulupi – Finance and Economic Planning
  • Patrick Osoro Okng’o – Agriculture, Irrigation, Livestock and Fisheries
  • Isaac Omari Ndiema – Trade, Industrialization, Tourism and Cooperative Development
  • Dr Roseline Nasiebanda – Gender, Youths, Sports and Culture

The names have been forwarded to the Trans Nzoia County Assembly for vetting and approval in accordance with Public Appointment (County Assembly Approval) Act No.5 of 2017,” Governor Natembeya said, in part of the letter nominating the 11.

He also appointed Felix Sialo to the position of Deputy County Secretary.

Sialo’s appointment is subject to approval by the County Public Service Board (CPSB).
