Senator Jackson Mandago is on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, expected to address members of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly.
Mandago wrote to the Assembly seeking to be allowed to address the MCAs.
In a communication by the speaker Phillip Muigei, the former governor is scheduled to issue his address from 2.30 pm.

The law allows Senators just like governors to address the County Assembly.
This will be the first time Mandago will address the MCAs as a Senator.
His predecessor Prof Margaret Kamar also addressed the assembly once during her 5-year reign from 2017 to 2022.
Uasin Gishu MCAs mourn Lucy Chomba
Meanwhile, Uasin Gishu County Assembly speaker Phillip Muigei on Tuesday led other MCAs in paying tribute to the late lucy Chomba.
Lucy passed away on Tuesday.
She served as a nominated MCA for five years and was elected the Huruma MCA after the death of her husband Peter Chomba in 2020.

But in the 2022 general election, the late Lucy Chomba finished second behind Jubilee candidate Kimani Wanjohi who won the seat.
When paying their tributes, the Uasin Gishu MCAs also said they will join the family in giving their late colleague a decent send off.
The lifeless body of Lucy was discovered in her house in West Indies.
Her body as since been moved to Eldoret Hospital mortuary as probe to ascertain the cause of the death is launched.
