Treasury Cabinet Secretary on Thursday, April 7, 2022, presented to the National Parliament a budget statement for the financial year 2022/2023.
The Ksh3.1 trillion budget was presented earlier due to the upcoming general election scheduled for August 9, 2022.

- Ministry of Defense – Ksh128.4 billion
- National Intelligence Services (NIS) – Ksh46.4 billion
