On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the Director of Public Works, Eng. Benjamin Kirongo convened a meeting with the department’s technical team to strategize on implementation and collaboration with client departments.

The goal is to ensure the effective delivery of transformative projects aligned with Governor Dr Jonathan Bii’s Nguzo Kumi manifesto.

We aim to visit all project sites, including flagship initiatives earmarked for the 2024/2025 financial year. Our role as a department is to provide technical support to ensure quality as well as value for money in completed projects,” stated Eng. Kirongo.

In addition, he emphasized that the exercise will feature real-time reporting from professionals such as mechanical engineers, quantity surveyors, electrical engineers, building inspectors, and architects. These experts will evaluate progress and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the implementation phase.

I encourage teamwork and urge you to provide professional advice as you collect systematic data on targeted outputs and other variables critical to the success of these programs,” he added.

Eng. Kirongo also called on client departments to facilitate the field teams with adequate resources, including vehicles, to ensure the timely completion of the exercise.

This initiative further underscores Governor Bii’s commitment to improving the lives of Uasin Gishu residents by delivering impactful, well-executed projects.
