A team of road engineers, inspectors, and surveyors are continuing with the inspection of road projects recently initiated by the County Government of Uasin Gishu under the 2023/2024 financial year across all wards.
On Tuesday, the team was in Tapsagoi Ward to inspect the ongoing river diversion works to pave the way for the construction of the Kosachei-Chebarus Bridge in Tapsagoi Ward, Turbo Sub County.
The new bridge will link Kosachei village and Chebarus(Kaptebee)village.

Residents of Chemoru and Kosachei villages led by Henry Kimutai Arap Kosgei said at least two people had lost lives in the past while trying to cross the river therefore the construction of the bridge is a sigh of relief to them.
In Kapseret Sub County, another team inspected the ongoing grading and graveling works along Kapkobil -Cheplaskei road which serves residents of Lessos Farm and those of Lower Baraka land in Ngeria ward.
Pius Keter, a resident of Kapkobil area said they have been forced to travel around two kilometers to pick up their children from Buigut ECDE center and Cheplaskei Primary School because of flooding during heavy rains due to poor drainage along the road.

Works are also ongoing in other areas which includes opening up of drainage systems ahead of the anticipated El Niño rains.
The County has set a target of gravelling at least 1,200 Kilometres of roads in the current financial year.
It did over 800 Kilometers within the first 12 months in office.
