In his manifesto on infrastructure, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii outlined his development agenda on infrastructure under Nguzo number 6 to enhance economic growth, employment, and other income opportunities key to the socio-economic development in both rural and urban areas.
True to his word, Governor Bii has been visiting different Wards to inaugurate and commission various ongoing and completed road projects.
Recently, the County boss while on a development tour in Kapsaos ward, Turbo Sub County, inaugurated the grading and gravelling program for Senior-Kapkoros Road.

“My administration is committed to improving road infrastructure to foster economic growth in our county. Let us remain united and avoid tribalism in this noble county,” Governor Bii said while addressing residents at the RoadBlock area.
Elsewhere in Tapsagoi Ward, Turbo Sub County, County engineers inspected the reinforcement for the base of the ongoing construction of the Kosachei-Chebarus bridge.
Residents of Tapsagoi led by Joseph Serem Chepkirwok said they have been relying on a temporary footbridge linking Chemoru and Kosachei villages.

“We are happy and grateful for Governor Bii’s work. We have at least lost four people who drowned in River Sosiani while trying to cross over this footbridge in the past,” Chepkirwok said.
The residents noted that improved infrastructure will enhance agriculture in the area where Maize, Sugar Cane, Coffee, Maize, Chicken, and wheat are key activities by making it possible to easily access and connect to markets and increase productivity.
