The Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) national ball games 2024 have ended.
Technical institutions nationwide were battling for glory in various games hosted by the Eldoret National Polytechnic.
Winners will be flying the KATTI flag at the East Africa College championships slated to be held in Rwanda.
The Eldoret National Polytechnic ladies basketball team is lucky to be one of the teams who will be travelling to Rwanda later this year. This is after they Kenya Coast National Polytechnic in the finals to be crowned the national champions.
“This is something that we have been waiting for and we are very happy for this team again we are hoping for the best at the East Africa level,” said Mussa Kibet, The Eldoret National Polytechnic Sports Officer.

He further admitted that the journey to winning the title was not an easy one but it came with hard work and high-level preparations.
With the East African games ahead, the team is now set to embark on preparations.
Meanwhile, Nasimyu Wanyama, one of the title-winning Eldoret National Polytechnic players said for them, it’s a promise fulfilled.
“We promised to ensure that the trophy remains at home and we have managed that. For sure, we are over-excited. We can’t wait to represent our school outside Kenya,” Nasimiyu said.
The hosts beat Kisii National Polytechnic in the semi-finals.
Friends College Kaimos also won the Football boys’ title.
2024 KATTI games in Eldoret
Technical institutions from 9 regions participated in the 2024 Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) national ball game.
The regions are Mount Kenya West, Mount Kenya East, Northern Kenya, Nairobi region, Coast, Western, Lake Region, KATTI North Rift as well as South Rift.
“This event provides a great platform for students to unleash their talents,” said Eldoret National Polytechnic Chief Principal Charles Koech during the official opening of the games.
Koech also doubles up as the Vice National Chair of KATTI.
