/

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich’s agenda to have all roads in the County passable in all weather is gathering momentum.

The County Department of Roads and Transport rolled out the grading of key roads including the Kaptalamwa-Kerer road in Marakwet West Sub County.

The work is being done by County Machines for cost-effectiveness while utilizing ward fuel.

County Executive Committee for Roads Emmy Koskei disclosed that contractual works will begin this week and it’s a rush against time ahead of the rains.

The Governor’s express directive is that we should not waste any time and effort to get the machines on the ground to ensure that roads in the County are done to required standards,” she said.
