Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup Mishra will this November host Deputy President William Ruto at his constituency.
According to a poster shared on his official Facebook page, the MP will be playing host to the DP alongside other political leaders in Uasin Gishu County for an interdenominational funds drive for 36 churches.
The event will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at AIC Chebolol in Cheptiret/Kipchamo Ward, Kesses Constituency.
Other leaders expected to grace the event, according to the poster include Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Senator Prof. Margaret Kamar, and legislators Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Caleb Kositany (Soy), Silas Tiren (Moiben), Janet Sitienei (Turbo), and Ainabkoi’s William Chepkut alongside Woman Rep Gladys Boss.
“Join us on 24th November, 2021 from 9:00am at AIC CHEBOLOL, Cheptiret-Kipchamo Ward, Kesses Constituency; as we host The Deputy President-H.E. Hon. Dr. William Kipchirchir Samoei Ruto, H.E. Hon Jackson Mandago- Governor, Uasin Gishu County amongst other dignitaries as we fundraise for 36 interdenominational churches in Kesses Constituency,” read part of the post on Facebook.– Mishra Facebook page.
Mishra will be hosting Ruto just days after he announced that he was ready to follow the political direction that his people will want him to ahead of the 2022 general election.
The Kesses MP has for a long time been seen as allied to the Jubilee party even with a majority of politicians in Uasin Gishu County shifting allegiance to Ruto.
Interestingly, the event will also see perceived anti-Ruto legislator Silas Tiren also attend alongside Senator Kamar who benefited from the Jubilee purge against leaders that had been allied to Ruto.
Prof. Kamar was elected Senate Deputy Speaker to replace Taraka Nithi’s Kindiki Kithure.
