Kinyoro MCA Andrew Kipekee Warns Saboti MP Caleb Amisi

Kinyoro ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) in Trans Nzoia County Andrew Kibet Kipekee has warned Saboti Constituency Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi to respect President William Ruto.

Kipekee, an ardent supporter of Ruto said Amisi’s constant attacks on the Kenya Kwanza government and the personality of President Ruto is uncalled for.

“As President Ruto’s number 17 spanner, I will not allow him (Amisi) to continue with his unnecessary outbursts and yapping and he should henceforth respect Ruto and the government of the day,” Kipekee said.

Speaking at Kitalale, the MCA said Amisi’s attacks on the ruling regime are likely to slow the government development agenda in the cosmopolitan constituency.

You cannot fight the President and expect him to bring development projects to your area. As your area MCA, who cannot be intimidated, I will ensure we don’t lose projects by asking our MP to support Ruto’s government,” he added.

Further, the first-term MCA called on the people of Saboti and the larger Trans Nzoia County to be patient with the government arguing that the government will fix the economic challenges in due course.

“This government has a plan on how to revive our economy and lower the cost of living. As you are all aware, we inherited a completely drained economy and soon, we shall be out of the hole” he stated.

He further called on residents of Trans Nzoia not to accept being forced to go for demonstrations and should instead focus on uplifting their living standards.

After President Ruto’s development tour in Trans Nzoia last week, Amisi has been putting the government in check which has not gone well with some Kenya Kwanza Alliance politicians.
