Mandago Pledges To Complete All Pending Projects Before His Term Ends

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has affirmed that he has plans of completing all pending projects his administration has initiated since the inception of devolution in 2013.

The Governor says: “I will ensure with the collaboration of Members of County Assembly that all pending projects across the county are completed before I leave office.”

Mandago was speaking in Soy Sub-County on Sunday when he attended church functions in Soy and Moi’s Bridge Wards.

He further said they are working on elevating the Soy Health Centre to a Level 3 Hospital. Funds have already been set aside that will facilitate the elevation and establishment of a new health center in the area.

Mandago addresses a congregation in church.

“Our focus is to expand service delivery to you, already we have budgeted for expansion of this (Soy Health Centre) facility so that you receive services near you, we have already awarded the contract for Soy dam, we want to supply water to every household,” said Mandago.

He also revealed that his administration has set aside funds for refurbishing Moi’s Bridge market to make it be able to accommodate the majority of the traders.

“We are elevating Moi’s Bridge to a town status and so we want to establish a modern market that will be a center of excellence in this region,” added Mandago.

He also challenged the youths to always be applying for the courses the County advertises, mentioning a program of sending medical students to Finland to pursue courses in Nursing as one of such opportunities.
