Uasin Gishu: Major Road Projects Ready for Commissioning

Vumilia Box Culvert and Kipsomba-Kapkures Box Culvert in Soy Sub County are among the county government-funded projects which have been completed and are waiting to be commissioned by the county boss.

In his Nguzo Kumi manifesto, Governor Jonathan Bii listed infrastructure as one of his key pillars for the economic development of the County.

The Vumilia Box culvert has already been completed while the Kipsomba-Kapkures box culvert is at 95 per cent into completion.

The two box culverts are expected to link residents to other parts of the county besides uplifting the standards of living of residents.

Over 800 kilometres of the road network spread across the county have been improved.

The County Executive Committee Member of Roads, Transport and Public Works Engineer Joseph Lagat says Governor Bii’s administration has prioritized the upgrading of roads in all the wards.
