Enhancing Quality of Health Services Is Key – Dr Kotut

The Department of Health Services in Uasin Gishu on Monday held a meeting with the Health facility management committee in part of efforts to enhance service delivery in the facilities.

Speaking during the meeting at the County headquarters, Health Services County Executive Dr Sam Kotut noted the importance of community involvement and participation in the management of health facilities saying that feedback ensures the level of healthcare services is always high.

Dr Kotut also trained them on the updated policies and procedures for the management of health services and facilities.

As a department, we are committed to providing the necessary support to the committee to ensure that they are equipped to handle their responsibilities effectively,” said the CECM.

On his part, Promotive and Preventive Health Chief Officer Joyce Sang emphasized a collaborative effort between the health facility management committee, the community, and other stakeholders to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services.

According to the Director of Planning and Administration Dr Sarah Kipkulei, the meeting was a step towards promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance in the management of health facilities in the region.

Deputy Director of Planning and Administration Richard Cheserek further urged them to use the knowledge and skills acquired to ensure that the health facilities under their management provide quality services to the community.
