Trans Nzoia: Doctor’s Lounge Unveiled at Mt Elgon Hospital

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Friday inaugurated the Doctor’s Lounge at Mt Elgon Hospital.

This is aimed to enhance the effectiveness of healthcare professionals in responding promptly to patients and emergency cases.

The launch of the Doctor’s Lounge is also a reflection of the county government’s commitment to delivering accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare services to the people.

In his statement, Governor Natembeya emphasized the importance of having a well-equipped and comfortable workspace for doctors.

This, he said, directly impacts their ability to provide efficient healthcare services.

“The Doctor’s Lounge is an essential addition to our healthcare facility as it provides a conducive environment for our medical personnel to unwind and recharge. This, in turn, allows them to perform their duties with greater efficiency and accuracy,” the county boss said.

Improve morale

The Doctor’s Lounge at Mt Elgon Hospital features state-of-the-art equipment.

Meanwhile, the initiative is expected to significantly improve the morale and performance of healthcare professionals in the county, resulting in better healthcare outcomes for patients.

The Governor also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that healthcare services in the county are easily accessible, affordable, and of high quality.
